Members of the clergy in the Ashanti Region have offered prayers for Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the 2024 Vice Presidential Candidate of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), with barely a week to the general election on December 7.
They also prayed for the NPP and the party’s flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, to emerge victorious in the elections on December 7.
Dr Prempeh held a special engagement with these Christian leaders, numbering over 200, drawn from all the 47 constituencies of the Ashanti Region, on Friday, November 29, 2024, in Kumasi.
The engagement centered on nation-building, the peace of the country ahead of the elections, and other matters of interest to the Christian faith.
Dr Prempeh used the occasion to reiterate Dr Bawumia’s unwavering commitment to deepening effective collaboration between his government and religious leaders in the administration of the country.

Apostle Sampson Adjei Berko of the Glory & Hope Ministries International, Jordan-Kotwi, led the Clergymen and women in intercessory prayers for Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, during which they committed him into God’s hands for His blessings, favour and guidance throughout the electioneering period.
They also prayed for the peace and stability of the country before, during and after the 2024 general elections.
