The Savannah Regional branch of the Electoral Commission (EC) has deployed electoral materials comprising Biometric Verification Devices (BVDs) and ballot papers to all seven constituencies in the region.

The exercise took place on Friday, November 29, 2024, at the Savannah Regional Police Headquarters under significant security and political parties presence.
The materials include 1,475 BVDs and 353,390 ballot papers.
The constituencies with the ballot papers are Bole-Bamboi, 5,960, Yapei-Kusawgu, 73,650 and North Gonja, 35,550. The rest are Salaga North, 25,980; Salaga South, 62,195; and Sawla-Tuna-Kalba, 55,010, including Damongo, 41,380.

The Savannah Regional Director of the Commission, Johnson Akafia, who was present together with the seven district officers, confirmed to Myjoyonline.com the numerical accuracies of the materials.

The deployment was led by heavy security patrol teams and vigil eyes of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) representatives.
Dr Niama Abdulai and Saburu Kantama of NDC and NPP, respectively, expressed their satisfaction with all the processes.
