Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, the vice-presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has urged Ghanaians to vote for change, underscoring the significance of their participation in shaping the nation’s future.
She emphasised that each vote holds the power to bring about the transformation the country needs.
After casting her ballot at the M.A. JHS A polling station in Komenda, Professor Opoku-Agyemang commended the peaceful nature of the electoral process and expressed optimism that this calm atmosphere would prevail throughout the day.
The former Minister of Education seized the moment to encourage citizens to exercise their democratic right, highlighting the critical role of voting in determining Ghana’s path forward.
She stressed that every eligible voter should actively contribute to the country's democratic journey by participating in the polls.
Running alongside former President John Dramani Mahama in the NDC’s bid to return to power, Professor Opoku-Agyemang called on voters to carefully reflect on the nation’s future as they make their decisions at the ballot box.
"I want those who are home and not interested in coming out to vote, turn out to come and vote. They should come and vote for change in leadership for the progress of the country," she stated.
