The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on the Electoral Commission (EC) to expedite the collation of polling station results at the constituency level.
Addressing the press on Sunday, December 8, the National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi cited concerns about delays that they believe may be deliberate.
The party emphasised the importance of a swift and transparent collation process to reflect the will of the people
"At this stage, what we want is for the Electoral Commission to fast-track the collation process at the constituency level. We have observed evidence of deliberate delays by some EC officials at the collation centres," he said.

According to him, with the results the party has at the moment, "It is very clear that the people of this country have voted for change. This is not just a vote for change—it is an extraordinary, historic vote for change.”
He also expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for their overwhelming support.
"I am happy to inform the good people of Ghana that from the results we have seen so far from our internal collation, it is clear that Ghanaians have rejected eight years of corruption, eight years of incompetence, eight years of state capture, eight years of nepotism and cronyism, eight years of waste and eight of insensitivity and arrogance and they have given the NDC resounding victory," he added.
