The Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications and the EMIs Chamber of Ghana have extended their congratulations to President-elect John Dramani Mahama on his election victory.
In a joint press statement, the organizations described Mr. Mahama’s re-election as a pivotal moment for Ghana, emphasising the importance of his leadership in advancing the nation’s socio-economic development and strengthening its democratic institutions.
“The re-election of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama signifies a pivotal moment for Ghana as the nation continues to strengthen its democratic institutions and advance its socio-economic development,” the statement read.
The chambers commended Mr. Mahama’s commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and technological advancement, which aligns with their mission to drive digital transformation in Ghana.
They also expressed optimism about collaborating with the incoming administration to enhance Ghana’s position as a leader in digital inclusion, financial technology, and connectivity across Africa.
“We anticipate working with your government on your manifesto initiatives, including those captured under Digital Economy, Communication, and Innovation,” the statement added.
The chambers also praised outgoing Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for graciously accepting the election results and congratulating the President-elect, describing his actions as a reinforcement of Ghana’s strong democratic values.
