Ghana’s brightest young minds are ready to take on the world at the UCMAS International Competition in India, scheduled for December 14, 2024.
This year’s contingent comprises 28 children poised to demonstrate exceptional mental arithmetic skills on the global stage.
The team departs Ghana with high hopes, representing the culmination of months of rigorous training and preparation. For these budding mathematicians, the journey is more than just a competition – it is a chance to showcase their talent for problem-solving.
The competition promises intense battles of mental agility, as participants from across the globe vie for top honours. Ghana’s representatives will compete in categories that challenge speed, accuracy, and creativity in arithmetic calculations.
But the experience is not all about numbers. After the competition, the team will head to Dubai from December 19 to 21, where they will immerse themselves in fun and exploration, visiting some of the city’s iconic attractions.

UCMAS Ghana, under the stewardship of Maurya Education Limited, has been nurturing young talent for the past 16 years. The programme has gained nationwide recognition, with many schools adopting it as a cornerstone of their academic offerings. Over the years, it has produced champions who have made the nation proud on international platforms.
This year’s team aims to follow in the footsteps of past achievers, such as Kwabena Asamoah Amoah, whose historic victory in 2012 earned him global recognition and a university scholarship in the USA.
As the countdown begins, these 28 children embody the power of discipline, innovation, and the pursuit of excellence. Ghanaians everywhere will be cheering them on, hopeful that their efforts will once again bring glory to the country.
