The Director of Communications for the Bawumia Campaign Team, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has reaffirmed his belief in Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as the NPP's best choice to lead the party to electoral victory.
Speaking in an interview on Channel One TV, he expressed unwavering confidence in Bawumia’s capabilities and his ability to guide the party and Ghana toward a prosperous future.
Aboagye lauded Bawumia’s exceptional leadership qualities, describing him as a visionary figure with innovative ideas crucial for the country’s development.
He emphasised that the Vice President’s leadership embodies the competence and creativity Ghana requires to tackle its challenges effectively. “The party recognises that Dr Bawumia’s leadership and innovative mindset are exactly what Ghana needs,” he said.
The Communications Director also noted the NPP’s strong backing for Bawumia, extending beyond the 2024 elections.
He expressed optimism that the party would rally behind him in future electoral contests, should he decide to run again. According to him, Bawumia’s track record and commitment to Ghana’s progress have garnered immense respect within the party.
When asked about the challenges posed by electoral losses, Aboagye highlighted Bawumia’s resilience, referencing his experiences as a running mate in 2008 and 2012.
He pointed out that the Vice President successfully overcame those setbacks, culminating in a decisive victory in 2016. “Dr Bawumia has proven his ability to recover from electoral disappointments and return even stronger,” Aboagye stated confidently.
Responding to whether Bawumia remains the best choice for the NPP’s presidential ambitions, Aboagye’s response was unequivocal: “Without a doubt.”
He concluded by urging the party and Ghanaians to continue placing their trust in Dr Bawumia’s leadership, as he represents a beacon of hope for both the party and the nation.
