Universal Merchant Bank Ltd. (UMB) has publicly apologised to Engineers & Planners Company Limited (E&P) for disseminating inaccurate information about the company’s financial standing with the bank.
The bank clarified that E&P has fully settled its credit obligations and currently has no outstanding debts with UMB.
In a statement, UMB acknowledged the error and assured E&P and the public that it has taken necessary steps to correct the inaccurate records with credit reporting agencies.

The bank expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to E&P as a result of the misinformation.
The apology underscores UMB’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, professionalism, and fairness in its customer relations.
This development highlights the importance of clear communication and meticulous record-keeping within financial institutions to ensure the trust and confidence of their clients. E&P has yet to comment on the matter.
