President John Mahama’s arrival at work on his first official day after his January 7 inauguration has got Ghanaians talking.
The January 8 footage captured by JoyNews showed a convoy of about six luxury vehicles accompanied by heavy security pulling into his Cantonments office.
President Mahama stepped out of one of the cars and made his way into the building.
He was closely followed by key officials of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), including his aide in the 2024 election campaign, Joyce Bawa Mogtari, as well as a throng of press personnel eager to capture the moment.
It is unclear yet why the official government seat, Jubilee House, was not his preferred venue to commence presidential business.
