A 21-year-old barber, who was said to have stolen someone’s GH¢6,000 at Apatrapa in the Kwadaso Municipality, has been granted GH¢6,000 bail with one surety to be justified, by the same court.
Gerrard Dwomo pleaded not guilty and will reappear before the Asante Akropong Circuit Court in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District on January 29, 2025.
Before the bail bond could be executed, the police will inspect the address, AP13-Apatrapa that he gave as his place of abode to confirm if that place existed or if he really lived there.
Police Chief Inspector Ruth Gborson giving the facts of the case, mentioned Juliana Owusu Gyamfi as the complainant and a resident of Apatrapa.
Chief Gborson explained that on January 11, this year, at about 7 am, the complainant detected the theft of her GH¢6,000 cash from her handbag in front of her dressing mirror.
She watched her doorbell camera and found that the camera had captured the accused stealing the money and made a report to the Abuakwa police.
During police investigations, the bracelet, waist bag and ring that were captured on the accused person in the camera were found in his room.
In his caution statement, he denied but after further investigations, he was charged and brought before the court.
