Maintenance in our stadia is disastrous - Kofi Adams

Ghana’s Minister-designate for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has reiterated the need for the country to keep in good shape its facilities citing the ‘disastrous’ of the various stadia.

Adams mentioned he had noticed the poor state of the various stadia blaming poor maintenance culture for it.

In his quest to address these issues, Adams says he is willing to the extent of ‘signing maintenance contracts.’

“If you go to our various stadia, maintenance is disastrous,” he told Joy Sports.

“If we maintain our facilities and maintain them well, their lifespan increases and when their lifespan increases, we tend to benefit.

“If we have to sign maintenance contracts to ensure proper maintenance of our facilities, we have to do it.”

Adams went through his vetting procedure on Thursday, January, 30, and is expected to assume office in the coming days.
