The Chairman of Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL), Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, says the team has attracted international attention, which could expand its operations to the diaspora.
According to him, the team has received calls from concerned individuals asking them to investigate and recover stolen state assets located abroad.
"President Mahama's ORAL initiative has also garnered significant local and international requests for forensic collaboration to recover the loot hidden offshore," he said while addressing the president on Monday when he presented ORAL's final report on suspected corruption complaints gathered by the team.
He further disclosed, "We have received a number of international requests to support the president’s initiative in terms of forensics, to assist in offshore retrieval... It is for the president to decide on the nature of these collaborations."
Mr Ablakwa explained that the informants have suggested that they "may just ask for a small percentage for successful recoveries."
