The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, on Monday led the Black Stars' technical team to pay a courtesy call on the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, at his office.
The visit was to formally introduce the newly assembled technical team and seek the Minister’s support ahead of Ghana’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
Mr Okraku said the visit was to "seek the Minister’s blessings" as the team embarks on the journey hoping to turn around the fortunes of the national team.

Welcoming the delegation, Kofi Adams expressed his commitment to supporting the Black Stars, urging a collective effort to ensure success. He assured the team of his "open-door policy" and encouraged them to reach out whenever necessary.
He also charged the technical team to work together towards qualification, stressing that Ghana’s participation in the 2026 World Cup remains a top priority.

Present at the meeting were head coach Otto Addo, technical director Winfried Schäfer, and assistant coach Desmond Ofei.
The Black Stars are set to resume their World Cup qualifying campaign later this year, with hopes of making their fifth appearance at the global tournament.
