Nsoatreman FC have confirmed their withdrawal from the ongoing 2024/25 Ghana Premier League due to concerns over the "security and safety" of their players.
It is understood that aggrieved supporters intend to retaliate after Kotoko fan Francis Frimpong Pooley was stabbed to death during the Porcupines' clash with Nsoatreman on February 2.
This follows a recent alleged attack by unknown persons in Kukuom in the Ahafo Region on Monday when Nsoatreman travelled to face Samartex at Bibiani Duns Park.
The Nsoatre-based side say they are "forced to take this decision" to ensure the safety of their players.

Nsoatreman sit 14th on the league table with 21 points and were set to face Basake Holy Stars in their next outing.
The Ghana FA is yet to react to the withdrawal.
