Physician and political activist, has urged former Dome-Kwabenya MP, Adwoa Safo, to soften her tone in addressing internal party matters to help foster unity within the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking on recent remarks made by Adwoa Safo, Dr. Kennedy acknowledged that she appeared deeply hurt but stressed the need for a more measured approach to party grievances.
Dr. Kennedy stressed the importance of conducting party primaries in a way that does not cause lasting divisions, adding that intra-party conflicts often leave deep wounds without consequences for those responsible.
"I understand her need to speak, but I respectfully ask her to stand down and tone down," he stated, comparing political party membership to a marriage or relationship that requires commitment and compromise.

His comments come in response to Adwoa Safo’s recent media engagements, where she openly discussed issues within the party.
He urged NPP members to express their opinions constructively while keeping in mind the ultimate goal of unity and electoral success.
Reflecting on the 2024 presidential elections, he noted that former President John Mahama reportedly secured about 25% of his votes from NPP supporters, illustrating that party loyalty is not absolute and that future NPP candidates must also appeal to a broad base, including NDC supporters.
Dr. Kennedy further stressed the need for the NPP to be an effective opposition while working towards rebuilding its internal strength.
Meanwhile, Adwoa Safo has officially been referred to the National Disciplinary Committee of the party for further action.
In a statement issued and signed by the General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, it said Adwoa Safo's recent media engagement violated the party's directives.
