A Swiss citizen has been abducted in the West African country of Niger, the foreign ministry in Bern said on Monday.
The Swiss representation in the capital Niamey is in contact with local authorities, and further investigations are underway, a spokesperson added.
It declined to give further details of the person or the circumstances of the abduction.
