Ghanaian rapper Medikal is not happy with social media users who compare him to other rappers including Kwesi Arthur.
In an X post he made on April 15, 2025, the vented his spleen on those who make such statements, suggesting it is disrespectful to his brand.
“Never ever compare me to any artiste, not Kwesi Arthur or anyone. Don’t even dare,” he wrote.
Medikal went ahead to write that his rap dexterity towers over any other artiste in Africa.
"Make una never compare me to any rapper for Ghana, Africa and beyond, nobody be my mate," he write in Pidgin English.
Medikal has been touted as one of the brilliant rappers in Ghana, considering his tact, lyrical prowess and flow.
His statement raises the question about whether he is able to match up to other rap MCs in Ghana and beyond, especially those who have proven on a number of occasions as heavyweights in the game.
In the meantime, Medikal is out with 'Welcome to Africa', a hip hop song that addresses some of the ills of the Africa continent.
