Political Science Lecturer at the University of Ghana, Dr Kwame Asah-Asante, has expressed confidence in the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, explaining that he has no reason to question the police capo’s competence.
Speaking on Joy News’ AM Show on Monday, April 21, Dr Asah-Asante noted that any expression of confidence or concern must be assessed against tangible actions and developments.
“We must also remind ourselves that if people say they have confidence in somebody and all that, it is founded on a certain premise,” he said.
According to Dr Asah-Asante, while public expressions of confidence or concern are valid, they must be grounded in concrete evidence and observable developments.
“I have no reason to doubt the competence of the IGP, and I’m yet to see the kind of things he is putting in place that will warrant that kind of responses and all that. For me, it's early days yet,” he shared.
