Thomas Partey’s legal representative, Jenny Wiltshire, has confirmed that the Ghanaian international is determined to prove his innocence after being formally charged with multiple sexual offenses by British authorities on Friday.
The former Arsenal midfielder, 32, faces five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.
According to the charges, two of the rape counts involve one woman, three relate to a second woman, and the sexual assault charge concerns a third.
The alleged incidents are said to have occurred between 2021 and 2022.
"Thomas now welcomes the opportunity to finally clear his name. As legal proceedings are now underway, my client will not be making any further public statements," Wiltshire said in a statement.
