The Paramount Chief of the Avenor Traditional Area and President of the Avenor Traditional Council, Torgbui Dorglo Anumah VI, has conveyed a message of condolence to President John Mahama, the bereaved families, and the entire nation following the tragic helicopter crash of August 6, 2025, which claimed the lives of eight prominent citizens.
In his message, Togbe Dorglo described the loss as “inconceivable,” noting that the victims were individuals at the peak of their careers whose contributions to national progress and community development were unparalleled.
“These were not only individuals of remarkable achievement and service, but also pillars of their communities, whose dedication, leadership, and selflessness contributed immensely to the progress and well-being of the nation,” he stated.
The Avenor Paramount Chief stated that their sudden passing has created a void that will be deeply felt across Ghana and beyond its borders.
He expressed solidarity with the bereaved families and the government, describing the victims as “martyrs in service to their nation.”
Togbe Dorglo VI also called on Ghanaians to draw inspiration from the legacies of the departed and continue their mission of unity, service, and nation-building.
He offered prayers for the Almighty to grant eternal rest to the souls of the deceased and provide strength and comfort to their families and all who mourn them.
“As a people, we stand together in grief and remembrance. May this tragedy unite us in compassion and resilience, and may God shield our nation from such calamities in the future,” he added.
