The Sinapi Aba Savings and Loans clinched yet another golf title in the 2025 Corporate Matchplay Championship in Kumasi.
The Royal Golf Club was abuzz with excitement as the bank faced off opponents, Sandvik in a highly anticipated match.
The annual event brought together some of the finest corporate golfers in Ghana, all vying for glory on the lush greens of the Royal Golf Course.
From the first tee-off, it was clear that both teams were in top form, displaying precision, strategy, and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
However, Sinapi Aba proved unstoppable, delivering a commanding performance to secure a resounding 3.5 to 0.5 victory over their rivals.
The win represents the third time Sinapi Aba has won the competition.
The tournament was structured into three competitive categories, testing different aspects of the players' skills:
Singles Matchplay – where Sinapi Aba’s golfers showcased individual brilliance, outplaying their opponents with strategic shot-making and clutch putting.
Alternate Drive – where two-person teams from each side alternate hitting a single ball, with one player teeing off on odd-numbered holes and the other on even-numbered holes.
The closely contested segment ended in a hard-fought tie, highlighting the balanced strength of both teams and Greensome where Sinapi Aba sealed their dominance with another impressive win, demonstrating seamless teamwork and coordination.
The bank’s squad comprised a blend of seasoned players and rising stars including Tony Appiah, Mrs Joyce Owusu-Dabo, Charles Agyei Boateng, Pearl Andrews, Lydia Opoku Ware, Kwame Nsiah Boakye and Selorm Boampong - whose skills and determination propelled the bank to victory.
As the team lifted the trophy amidst cheers and applause, it was clear that their teamwork, preparation, and execution had set them apart.
With the impressive win, Sinapi Aba has firmly etched its name among the elite in Ghana’s corporate golfing scene.
The Royal Golf Club once again proved to be the perfect stage for a memorable showdown, leaving fans and participants already looking forward to next year’s edition.
