The story of the day at the 2025 JoySports Invitational belonged to Piwak Natural Health, led by General Manager Saviour Mortoti, as they dominated to emerge overall champions.
Samuel Asamoah lit up the track with a blistering 11.45s run to clinch gold in the men’s 100m final, before teammate Faustina Amoah added another top medal in the lime-and-spoon race. Piwak Natural Health capped off their dominant display by storming to victory in the unisex relay.
Four gold medals in total were enough to secure their overall victory.
Speaking on the team’s mindset on the JoyNews Channel, Saviour said:
"Whenever we go for training, I tell them [team members] to take their training seriously. There is nothing like second, we are going for the ultimate and that has been the motivation throughout."
Lime and Spoon gold medalist Faustina Amoah also added: "Practice makes man perfect so we were practicing. We were exercising and preparing and that was how we won."
The 2025 JoySports Invitational was held on August 23rd at the University of Ghana Stadium, and saw over 50 corporate organisations in a colourful mix of competition, fitness, and fun.
Partners including the Minerals Commission, Royal Sweet Limited, Ayuda Hub, The Game Energy, Yomi Yoghurt, The Luckiest, and Promoworld helped turn the event into a vibrant spectacle.
