MTN Ghana has extended support to the La Traditional Council with a donation of ₵20,000, airtime worth ₵1,000, and assorted drinks as part of this year’s Homowo Festival celebrations.
The donation underscores MTN’s commitment to strengthening community relations while preserving and promoting Ghana’s cultural heritage.
Speaking to the media, Chief Customer Relations Officer at MTN Ghana, Jemima Kotei-Walsh, reaffirmed the company’s dedication to tackling fraud and cybersecurity challenges. She assured that MTN would continue to engage communities through education and sensitization to help protect customers from fraudulent schemes.

“We're also in the community, engaging and educating them on our products and services, particularly in the area of fraud to ensure that people are aware and able to protect themselves against their fraudsters, “she emphasized.
On behalf of the La Traditional Council, Nii Adjei Koofe IV, La Shikitele, expressed gratitude to MTN Ghana for its consistent support. He urged community members to avail themselves for the sensitization programs to avoid becoming victims of fraudulent activities in the future.

“We've always told them to avail themselves, to educate them about the challenges that they might have. The La Traditional Council and the chiefs and the people of La are very grateful to MTN for their support,” he stated.

The donation forms part of MTN Ghana’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at fostering cultural preservation, supporting community development, and ensuring customer safety.
