The government of Ghana has expressed grave concern over what it has described as an "unprovoked Israeli attack" on the sovereign State of Qatar, resulting in casualties, fatalities, and significant damage to property.
In an official statement released on September 10, Ghana expressed "deep concern" over the airstrikes, characterising them as a "clear violation of international law" and a "flagrant affront" to Qatar's sovereignty.
The government further warned that such actions risk undermining ongoing peace efforts between Israel and Palestine.
“The Government of the Republic of Ghana condemns the attack in view of the fact that the airstrikes constitute a clear violation of international law and an affront to the sovereignty of the State of Qatar,” the statement read.
“This attack undermines the ongoing pursuit of peace between the States of Palestine and Israel.”

President John Dramani Mahama extended Ghana’s solidarity to the Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and the people of Qatar during what the statement described as "these difficult times."
The government also praised Qatar’s consistent diplomatic engagement in the Israel-Palestine conflict, urging the Gulf nation not to be deterred in its efforts.
“We commend Qatar for their tireless and impressive commitment towards the resolution of the conflict between the States of Israel and Palestine,” the statement added.
The government further appealed to all parties involved to exercise restraint.
“We further appeal that this condemnable incident is not allowed to derail Qatar’s effort in negotiating a peaceful diplomatic resolution of the conflict.”
