The Open Government Partnership (OGP) Ghana Office, under the auspices of the Public Sector Reform Secretariat, has announced Ghana’s participation in the forthcoming 2025 OGP Global Summit to be held in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain, from 7th to 9th October 2025.
In a press release issued on Thursday, October 2, the high-level Summit will convene Heads of State, senior government officials, civil society leaders, and international partners to exchange experiences, share best practices, and assess progress on open governance reforms and the implementation of National Action Plans.
Ghana will be represented by a robust delegation led by Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba, Member of Parliament and Minister of State in charge of Public Sector Reforms.

She will be joined by Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, Deputy Chief of Staff (Administration), alongside Members of Parliament, key sector ministers, public officials, and selected civil society leaders.
According to the OGP Ghana Office, this joint delegation highlights Ghana’s continued commitment to the core principles of the OGP: transparency, accountability, citizen participation, and innovation in governance.
The Public Sector Reform Secretariat and the OGP Ghana Office reaffirmed the government’s dedication to advancing meaningful governance reforms that build public trust and promote sustainable development.
