Ghanaian rapper Ko-Jo Cue has said in a recent interview on Hitz FM's morning show Daybreak Hitz that he prefers not to perform at events that feature too many artistes.
He made this comment while responding to a question about how he felt when he was not billed for Sarkodie's Rapperholic Homecoming which was held on September 27, 2025 in Kumasi.
Speaking to Kwame Dadzie and Doreen Avio on the show, Ko-Jo Cue explained that when there are too many performers at a show, fans often fail to appreciate or even remember most of the acts, except those who headline.
“I have a love-hate relationship with shows that have everyone on it. It’s not helping our show culture, because every artiste is on every show, so why won’t one save their money to attend Rapperholic instead?” he said.
He noted that after such concerts, attention usually centres on only a few performers, while the rest are easily forgotten. He further criticised the repetitive nature of line-ups at major events, saying it discourages audiences from attending.
“There are too many people billed on a show. I think a Sark show should have about two more artistes and himself and that’s it. So that when people go for other shows, they know it’s different and have more experiences,” he said.
Ko-Jo Cue, known for his lyrical depth and storytelling, has produced notable works such as You Alone, Rich Dad Poor Dad, For My Brothers, and Winners. He has also collaborated with artistes like Shaker, M.anifest, and Worlasi, Ayisi, Fameye, earning respect as one of Ghana’s finest contemporary rappers.
He is currently out with a new song titled 'Tontonte' which features Ofori Amponsah and Arathejay.
