The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has commended the Member of Parliament for Afadzato South, Frank Afriyie, for his continuous investment in education across the constituency.
During his working tour of the Volta Region, the National Chairman made the remarks when he met constituents and community leaders in Afadzato South, where the MP presented chop boxes and learning materials to students entering various senior high schools.
He described Mr Afriyie’s gesture as a worthy example of leadership rooted in service and urged other Members of Parliament and political leaders to emulate him.
According to the Chairman, education remains one of the most powerful tools for transforming lives and building sustainable communities.
He emphasised the government’s commitment to improving the country’s educational system and ensuring that every Ghanaian child has access to quality education, regardless of their location or background.
“Education is the foundation of national progress. It is our collective duty to make sure no child is left behind,” he said.
Frank Afriyie, on his part, reiterated the importance of investing in the future of young people through education.
He noted that empowering children with knowledge opens doors of opportunity and helps shape responsible citizens for the nation.
“It is very important that we invest in the education of our children and make sure every child gets the chance to go to school and reach any level they aspire to,” he stated.
The event drew community members, traditional leaders, and parents, who applauded the MP’s continued efforts to support students and promote education in the area.
The Afadzato South MP’s initiative adds to a growing list of educational support interventions aimed at easing the financial burden on parents and encouraging enrollment and retention in schools.
