The 2025 edition of the Inter Tourism Expo Accra (iNTTA) is set to make a major impact on Ghana’s tourism and investment landscape when it opens from October 23 to 25 at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra.

The event, spearheaded by Emmanuel Treku, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Convener of the Expo, is expected to bring together key tourism stakeholders, cultural leaders, investors, and innovators under the theme: “Cultures Connecting: Fostering Tourism Exchange and Understanding.”

Unveiling this year’s agenda, Mr Treku said iNTTA 2025 would go beyond conversations to drive actionable strategies for tourism transformation, reflecting Ghana’s growing influence in the global tourism arena and its commitment to sustainable development.

He said the three-day event would feature a series of high-impact discussions, exhibitions, and cultural showcases designed to ignite dialogue, drive investment, and celebrate Ghana’s heritage.

Among the major sessions will be: “Tourism and Investment in Ghana: An Overview,” where experts and policymakers will explore emerging opportunities, infrastructure growth, and policy reforms to boost the sector.

Another highlight, “Dialogue on the Black Star Experience,” will delve into Ghana’s identity as the Black Star of Africa and how its cultural symbolism continues to shape global tourism interest.

The “Diaspora Africa Engagements” session will focus on strengthening ties between the continent and the African diaspora through destination tourism, trade, and cultural exchange, while “Destination Marketing: Storytelling in the Digital Age” will examine how digital storytelling and influencer engagement are transforming destination branding.

Other panel discussions will spotlight “Youth Social Entrepreneurship in a Sustainable Economy”, a call to empower young entrepreneurs in tourism SMEs, as well as “Scoring Beyond the Pitch: Sports Tourism and Africa’s Economic Future,” which will explore sports tourism’s potential to boost economic growth and infrastructure development ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

There will also be a dialogue on “Cultural Heritage Preservation: Balancing Tourism and Tradition,” focusing on safeguarding Ghana’s cultural assets while pursuing tourism growth.

Mr Treku said iNTTA 2025 would serve as “a platform for global collaboration,” adding that the Expo was not just an event but a movement aimed at positioning Ghana as a hub for cultural tourism, investment, and innovation.

“This year’s agenda reflects our commitment to connecting cultures, building bridges, and shaping the future of tourism in Africa,” he stated.
