Former Deputy Minister and Ambassador to the Netherlands, Dr. Tony Aidoo, has completely dismissed the presidential bid of Kennedy Agyapong, businessman and former Member of Parliament.
In a video interview with Radio Gold, Dr. Aidoo, known in the political circles for speaking his mind, minced no words in questioning the character of Kennedy Agyapong and passing a vote of no confidence in his ability to lead the country.
"Oh my God! Kennedy Agyapong as president of Ghana? Ei!," Tony Aidoo said, before launching attacks into claims made by Kennedy Agyapong, including being a grassroots man and the claim that he will pursue the vision of Kwame Nkrumah if elected president.
"What does he know about Nkrumah? He Kennedy Agyapong what does he know about Nkrumah?" Tony Aidoo asked.
"He is a loudmouth. He lies, he insults. He knows he can't be touched, but one day somebody is going to touch him. He doesn't tell no truth. He concocts stories about people," Tony Aidoo added.
On Kennedy Agyapong's claim of being a grassroots person, Tony Aidoo alleged Kennedy had made millions from contracts secured under previous NPP governments and wondered how much of those contracts have been used to support grassroots members of the NPP.
"How much contracts has he got from Kufuor and Akufo-Addo? How much of that did he extend to the party?"
"I'm doubtful if the presidency of Kennedy Agyapong can be beneficial to Ghana. It won't."
