The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has reaffirmed Ghana’s continuous support for the people of Palestine, strengthening the importance of dialogue as a means of resolving conflicts.
He assured that the Parliament was ready to engage in constructive discussions and collaborations that promote peace and stability in the region.
The Speaker said these when Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Ghana, Abdul Fatah Alsattari, paid a courtesy call on him as part of efforts to deepen parliamentary relations and foster strategic dialogue aimed at promoting peace and cooperation.

During the visit, Ambassador Alsattari expressed deep concern over the ongoing conflict in Gaza, lamenting the devastating impact of the violence, particularly on women and children.
He extended his gratitude to the Speaker and the people of Ghana for their humanitarian support, including relief items and donations made to assist Palestinians in this critical period.

He emphasised the urgent need for peace and commended Ghana for its longstanding commitment to human rights, justice, and the rule of law.
The Ambassador appealed for continued international solidarity and support toward achieving a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
