The Confederation of African Football has announced the final shortlist for the 2025 Men’s Player of the Year award, featuring Victor Osimhen, Mohamed Salah and Achraf Hakimi.
Osimhen, last year’s winner, makes the cut again after an explosive season with Galatasaray, where he scored 37 goals and added eight assists in 44 matches while leading the club to the Turkish Super Lig and Cup titles.
Salah also returns to the final three as the Liverpool forward ended last season with 34 goals and 23 assists in 52 appearances including winning the Premier League title with the Reds.
Hakimi completes the trio after a standout season with Paris Saint-Germain, where he lifted multiple trophies including the UEFA Champions League, Super Cup, and domestic titles, contributing 11 goals and 16 assists across 55 games.
This year’s CAF Awards will honour performances recorded between January 6 and October 15, 2025.
The ceremony takes place on Wednesday, November 19, in Rabat, Morocco.
