Ghana has taken a major step forward in its digital transformation drive as the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, officially unveiled the Ministry’s new Online Digital Services Portal.

The platform, described as a cornerstone in the country’s push toward a modern and efficient public service, is designed to give citizens easy access to a wide range of Interior Ministry services without the usual bureaucratic hurdles.

The portal hosts key services such as Citizenship and Migration applications, Immigrant Quota Permits, Renunciation of Citizenship, and Dual Nationality processing.

It also provides digital access to critical regulatory services, including licensing for private security organisations, permits for the import or export of explosives, arms and ammunition, and approval for the exportation of human remains.

According to the Ministry, digitalising these processes will reduce delays, enhance transparency, and strengthen data security across all service points.

Officials say the move will also boost revenue assurance and ensure greater accountability in service delivery.

The launch forms part of the government’s broader agenda to build a secure, technology-driven public sector and advance Ghana’s ambition of becoming a fully integrated digital economy.
