The Member of Parliament for Tano North, Dr. Gideon Boako, has praised former Vice President and 2024 New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for maintaining composure amid tensions in the party’s ongoing presidential primary race.
Speaking in an interview on Thursday, January 8, Dr. Boako said Dr. Bawumia has faced multiple provocations but has consistently responded with restraint and focus. “He has been provoked several times, but he has kept his cool,” he noted.
He described Bawumia as a disciplined leader whose calm approach is crucial for preserving unity within the party as the primaries approach, a process that will determine the NPP’s flagbearer for the 2024 elections.
Dr. Boako urged party members and delegates to respect the electoral process, stressing that the focus should be on fair competition and the overall cohesion and success of the NPP.
