FC Nordsjaelland forward Prince Amoako Jr says he has his sights set on a call-up to the Black Stars.
Amoako Jr has been a great addition to the Danish side since the start of the season as Nordsjaelland chase a playoff spot.
Having seen teammate Caleb Yirenkyi play for the national team in recent times, Amoako Jr is also looking to get into such environment.
“We’ve had conversations about the national team but it’s never been about what’s on the inside,” he told Joy Sports.
“On the outside from what I see, the national team is always good to play. You’re representing your country and representing the very place that made you.”
He also believes being invited to the national team will be a morale booster for his performance and confidence.
“For me, it’s always a big deal to play in the national team and to be called up for it. It would mean the world to be and it would just elevate my confidence and everything else will just align,” he added.
“But right now, to play in the national team is a very big dream for me.”
Amoako Jr has been involved in 11 goals in 21 appearances across all competitions for Nordsjaelland scoring six and assisting five.
