The Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 22nd December 2025, during which Congress unanimously adopted the Legal Sub-Committee’s report, ushering in key constitutional reforms.
Among the approved changes, membership has been expanded to include tennis clubs and tennis-related foundations operating in Ghana, subject to formal application and payment of dues.
The position of General Secretary will now be elected, replacing the previous appointment system managed by the National Sports Authority (NSA).
A new position of Women’s Representative has also been created and will be filled through elections.
The tenure of all elected officers, including the President, Vice President, General Secretary, Treasurer, Women’s Representative, and four other members, has been set at four years, with the possibility of re-election for up to three terms.
Additionally, Congress approved the establishment of a Legal, Ethics and Dispute Resolution Committee, which will serve as the Federation’s advisory and adjudicatory body on legal, ethical, and dispute matters.
The changes are expected to strengthen governance, enhance inclusivity, and provide a more transparent framework for tennis administration in Ghana.
