The Ministry of Education has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with QG Construction UK Limited for the establishment of an Institute of Green and Sustainable Science and Technology at the Acherensua Campus of the University of Engineering and Agricultural Sciences (UEAS), Bunso.
The institute is expected to serve as a hub for practical learning, industry collaboration, and applied research, supporting Ghana’s transition towards sustainable development and a green economy. It will also position UEAS as a key centre for innovation in science and technology.

The initiative is aimed at strengthening research, training, and innovation in areas such as green technology, climate-smart agriculture, and sustainable engineering, while equipping students with the skills needed to support Ghana’s green future.
