Member of Parliament for Nyhiaeso, Dr Stephen Amoah, has said he was surprised that Kennedy Agyapong did not win in Nhyiaeso in the NPP Flagbearer race.
Dr Amoah said he had expected Mr Agyapong to secure a comfortable victory, based on the work done by his campaign team.
“It’s very surprising because I thought Kennedy was going to win by 60%,” Dr Amoah said.
According to the lawmaker, the level of effort and visibility of the Ken Campaign in the area had raised expectations of a different outcome. He noted that the result did not reflect what many on the ground had anticipated.
So far, former Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has emerged winner in Nhyiaeso.
