Afrobeats superstar Davido has finally reacted to his Grammy loss at the 68th edition of the awards held in Los Angeles with a message of faith and resilience, affirming that God is on his side, despite his recent loss.
In an Instagram post, Davido shared photos of himself and his wife at the award ceremony, ending it with a praying emoji and musical symbols.
The singer wrote: “Oluwa Dey my side”
Davido lost the Best African Music Performance category at the 2026 Grammy Awards Ceremony, which was held on Sunday night at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.
Tyla clinched the award with her hit “Push 2 Start”, surpassing strong competition from Nigerian stars Burna Boy (“Love”), Ayra Starr and Wizkid (“Gimme Dat”), as well as Davido (“With You” featuring Omah Lay) and Eddy Kenzo and Mehran Matin (“Hope & Love”).
The award was her second Grammy, having won her first in 2024 for her hit single ‘Water.’
Following the loss, Davido’s fans have expressed pride in him and congratulated him.
