The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the organisation of a supplementary promotion aptitude test for qualified teachers who were unable to participate in the 2025 promotion aptitude test due to circumstances beyond their control.

According to a statement issued by the Service on Wednesday, February 5, the supplementary examination is intended to give affected candidates a fair opportunity to take part in the promotion process.

The test has been scheduled to take place on Tuesday, February 17, and will commence promptly at 9:00am.

To ensure smooth administration and accessibility across the country, GES has zoned the examination centres into four main areas, each covering specific regions.

Candidates from the Ahafo, Ashanti, Bono and Bono East Regions will write the examination at the Wesley College of Education in Kumasi. Those from the Central, Western and Western North Regions will take the test at the National Language Training Institute (NLT), University of Cape Coast (UCC), Cape Coast.

Teachers from the Eastern, Greater Accra, Oti and Volta Regions have been assigned to the Accra College of Education in Accra, while candidates from the North East, Northern, Savannah, Upper East and Upper West Regions will sit the examination at the Tamale College of Education in Tamale.

GES further indicated that index numbers for candidates will be released directly to them via text message by Monday, February 9.

Candidates are therefore advised to remain alert and ensure that their contact details with the Service are accurate and active.

The Management of the Ghana Education Service has wished all candidates the very best as they prepare for the examination.
