Black Stars forward Antoine Semenyo believes the friendly game against Austria will be a good opportunity for the team to announce their readiness for the 2026 World Cup.
Ghana will face Austria in the first of two friendly games in the March international break, with the games forming part of their preparations for the global tournament.
The 2026 World Cup will be Ghana's fifth appearance since their debut in 2006 in Germany, and the Manchester City forward believes the Black Stars are ready for the battle ahead.
"Hopefully, [I'm] expecting a win. We want to make a statement: we are preparing for the World Cup, so hopefully a win," Semenyo said as he spoke about the game against Austria.
After playing Austria, the Black Stars will go on to face Germany in three days' time before dispersing to their respective clubs.
