A commercial fire at Anansekrom, La, on Thursday , April 2, resulted in significant property damage, destroying several structures and partially burning a tailoring shop, according to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
According to a post shared on Facebook, the fire affected four metal containers and two wooden structures in the commercial area.

Despite the rapid response of firefighters from the Trade Fair Fire Station, supported by a Ghana Armed Forces appliance, the blaze caused substantial destruction.

Authorities reported that two wooden structures and three metal containers were completely destroyed by the flames.
Additionally, a tailoring shop sustained partial damage, with some of its contents burnt in the fire.

Emergency crews managed to salvage eight other containers and adjoining buildings, preventing the fire from spreading further and limiting the overall impact on the surrounding area.

Officials confirmed that no casualties were reported, with the swift intervention of the GNFS credited with saving lives and preventing further destruction.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, as authorities assess the full extent of the damage and determine what led to the outbreak.
