The Member of Parliament for North Tongu and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has donated 100 chest freezers to market women in Juapong to support their businesses during the temporary relocation for the construction of the Mahama 24-Hour Economy Market.
The donation is intended to cushion traders who have been relocated to make way for the construction of the new market, which forms part of the government's 24-Hour Economy initiative aimed at modernising market infrastructure and expanding economic opportunities.
Mr Okudzeto Ablakwa said the welfare and economic empowerment of his constituents remain a priority, noting that the support would help affected traders sustain their livelihoods while work on the market progresses.

According to him, the Mahama 24-Hour Economy Market will provide a modern trading environment, promote local commerce and create better opportunities for businesses in the area.
The North Tongu MP assured the market women and residents of his continued commitment to supporting programmes that improve livelihoods and enhance economic empowerment across the constituency.

The market project forms part of the government's broader strategy to stimulate economic activity, create jobs and improve trading conditions through the development of modern market infrastructure across the country.
