Twenty-four aspirants have filed their nominations to contest for the various Regional Executive positions of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bono East Region.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Techiman, Mr Kwabena Frimpong, a member of the Bono East Regional Elections Committee, said that the aspirants would be contesting the positions of chairman, first vice chairman, second vice chairman, and secretary.
Other positions include assistant secretary, organiser, youth organiser, women organiser, Nasara officer, treasurer and communication officer.
Mr Frimpong said the nominations were closed last Friday, July 17, 2026.
Mr Frimpong expressed appreciation to the aspirants for complying with the nomination requirements and meeting the timelines.
He said the dates for the vetting of the aspirants would be announced soon, and pledged the committee's dedicationto conduct transparent, credible, free and fair elections to the satisfaction of all the stakeholders.
Mr Frimpong pledged that the party in the region would always adhere to the NPP’s constitution and election guidelines.
