Former Member of Parliament for Sekondi, Andrew Egyapa Mercer, has announced a free Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) result checking initiative for candidates within the Sekondi Electoral Area.
The initiative is aimed at supporting BECE candidates and their families by providing free access to result-checking services for the 2026 examination results.
According to information released by the former MP, designated centres have been set up across communities within the Sekondi constituency where candidates can access the service.
The centres include Adiembra, Bakaekyir, Sekondi, Nkontompo, Kweikuma, European Town, Ekuase/Essaman, and Sekondi Zongo.
Candidates and parents seeking assistance can visit the various centres or contact the designated coordinators through the provided telephone numbers for further information.
Mr Egyapa Mercer, who previously served as MP for Sekondi, said the initiative forms part of efforts to support young people and ease the financial burden on families during the BECE result-checking period.
