A motor rider is in critical condition after sustaining serious injuries in a head-on collision involving a Sprinter vehicle at Berekum in the Bono Region.
The accident occurred in front of the Berekum Senior High School when the motorcycle and the Sprinter reportedly collided head-on.
According to eyewitnesses, the motor rider allegedly veered from his outer lane into the inner lane of the Sprinter, resulting in the crash.
The impact left the rider seriously injured and in need of urgent medical attention.
He was subsequently rushed to the Berekum Holy Family Catholic Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.
The exact circumstances surrounding the accident remain unclear.
The police have commenced investigations to establish the precise cause of the crash and determine the events leading to the collision.
Motorists and other road users have been urged to exercise caution, observe road traffic regulations and remain vigilant to help prevent similar accidents.
