T.I. Ahmadiyya SHS, Wa has finally earned a place at the National Science and Maths Quiz national contest after more than a decade of trying.

‎The school secured one of the Upper West Region’s runner-up spots after finishing second in its contest against Nandom SHS and Lassia Tuolu SHS.
‎
‎Nandom SHS won the contest with 53 points, while T.I. AMASS finished with 30 points. Lassia Tuolu SHS managed 8 points.
‎
‎For T.I. AMASS, the result ends a long wait and marks the school’s first-ever appearance at the national stage.
‎
‎In the final contest of the Upper West qualifiers, St. Francis Xavier Junior Seminary SHS emerged on top with 50 points to take the region’s last automatic qualification slot.
‎
‎Wa SHS followed with 22 points, while Kanton SHS and Tumu SHTS finished with 17 and 12 points respectively.
‎
‎Wa SHS and Kanton SHS also made the cut as runners-up, joining T.I. AMASS, Nandom SHS and St. Francis Xavier Junior Seminary SHS as the Upper West representatives at the national contest.
‎
‎The five schools will now join qualifiers from across the country and the 27 seeded schools for the battle for the 2026 NSMQ crown.
