Black Stars captain Andre Ayew scored but it was not enough as Swansea drew 2-2 with fellow play-off hopefuls, Nottingham Forest.
The 30-year-old forward found the back of the net in the encounter to take his tally to 15 goals in English Championship this campaign.
Swansea were twice pegged back in the entertaining encounter at the City Ground on Wednesday night.
Swansea took a deserved lead when Rhian Brewster emphatically smashed home his ninth goal of the season.
Sammy Ameobi soon levelled against the run of play, but Andre Ayew’s penalty on the stroke of half-time restored Swansea's lead.
Ayew was bundled over as he attempted to strike from just inside the box. Referee Oliver Langford pointed to the spot, and Ayew made no mistake.
But Ameobi struck from long range 10 minutes into the second half for the game to finish in a stalemate.
Ayew has been in terrific form since rejoining the club after an unsuccessful loan spell in Turkey last season.
This season he has found the back of the net 17 times and provided 6 assists in 43 appearances across all competitions.
