Asante Kotoko are close to sealing a partnership deal with an unnamed club in the English Premier League.
This was revealed by the club’s Chief Executive Officer Nana Yaw Amponsah at the unveiling ceremony of the new management team in Kumasi on Tuesday.

According to Amponsah, the deal is 90% done, assuring fans that the partnership will be beneficial to the Porcupine Warriors.
"We are 90 per cent through signing a partnership deal with an English Premiership side. We want to plug our club in them so we can have the replica, if not the same, of everything they have here,” Amponsah said.
If the deal goes through, it will be Kotoko's second partnership with an English top-flight club. Between 2011 and 2015, Kotoko had a partnership with Sunderland.
The partnership allowed Sunderland to share coaching and business expertise with the Porcupine Warriors, offer practical support and advice in youth coaching, player development, fitness and medical matters, as well as football business strategy.
At the same ceremony, Amponsah said he had secured in principle, about four huge sponsorships for the club since taking over as CEO in August.
Also, revealed plans to get an ultra-modern training facility at Adako Jachie within the next three months. He said the facility will accommodate 30 players.
Early this month, a close source to Amponsah informed Joy Sports that he was not happy and wanted to resign.
This is because the Board of Directors were not giving him the free hands to work. However, it appears all is well now.
"I thank the Board of Directors for giving me the free hands to name my Management team," he said.
Amponsah assured coach Maxwell Konadu of his support. He said he has absolute confidence in the former Black Stars trainer despite some fans doubting he is the right man to lead Kotoko to success on the field.
