Gospel musician and Evangelist, Cecilia Marfo, has presented a sum of GH¢10,000 and other items to the Risen Star Orphanage Home at Dodowa in Tema.
Presenting the items to the management of the orphanage, the gospel musician said the donation was to empower the staff of the orphanage to continue with their great work.
The Afunumu Ba hitmaker further disclosed that the donation also formed part of the social responsibility activities undertaken annually by her foundation dubbed, ‘Cecilia Marfo Foundation.’
Cecilia said the support of her foundation will be a blessing to the needy and less-privileged in society, although this is not the first time her foundation had embarked on such a project.
“The ministry is not only about music, I believe as minister of the gospel, our lives must also emphatically influence the lives of others and the effect ought to be coordinated to these children because they need our physical support,” she said.
The staff of the Risen Star Orphanage Home expressed their appreciation to Evangelist Cecilia Marfo and her husband Clement Kofi Yeboah Adupedie.
Mr. Adupedie encouraged the houseparents of the Risen Star Orphanage Home to stand firm in their endeavour and to continue to show their kindness towards the less-privileged.
Meanwhile, Cecilia Marfo is set to hold a free concert fused with church and thanksgiving service dubbed ‘Tsooboi’.
The event will hold from December 15 to the last day of the year, December 31 at Afienya-Mataheko, closer to First Bridge.
Cecilia Marfo successfully launched two albums this year making it her 18th in her 21 years in the gospel music ministry.
