Shots have been fired by security personnel in Ahafo Ano after angry voters expressed their frustration over the collation process by vandalising property at the collation centre in Tepa.
Electoral Commission (EC) officials have suspended collation and have been relocated temporarily for their safety.
Meanwhile, the security services remain in a standoff with the group, with gunshots still being heard.
